Copa del Rave returns to Evolve on Thursday, October 24 (from 3 to 10 p.m) for its 2nd annual charity fundraiser. The first fundraiser in April raised over $12,000 for VH1 Save the Music and Beats in School, and the 2nd event is looking to smash that amount this year for the mental health charity MusiCares.
The October edition will see confirmed players Diplo, Ardalan, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and more DJs do their best to be athletic in the name of MusiCares, a group associated with the Recording Academy that “provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need,” covering “financial, medical and personal emergencies.”
You can watch the DJs and industry professionals get down and dirty for a donation of $20 or more. Learn more by visiting Copa del Rave online.
The DJs will be joined by team members from digital download service Beatsource, taste-maker label Future Classic, PR and management super-squad Liamous United (combining Infamous, Liason and 2+2 Management), event organizers Live Nation, Diplo’s label Mad Decent, DJ software developer Native Instruments, reigning champs Red Light Management, and the Three Six Zero management group.
If you can’t be in LA, you can still support the cause with a direct donation to MusiCares.
