Los Angeles soccer is growing very quickly. If you have a child that is interested in the sport, the EV Soccer LA facility is an ideal place to bring them. Our brand new facility is the perfect place for indoor soccer in Los Angeles, and we would like to invite you to come see us very soon. We’re located a few steps from the LA River redevelopment district in Frogtown. Working with kids on their soccer fundamentals is an important way for your child to improve. However, basic drills can sometimes be a little uninteresting to kids who might prefer to just shoot and score. Below is a basic a routine you can do to help them improve, while also keeping the fun intact.
Be sure to follow our new Soccer Skills Series with more details about dribbling, passing, receving and shooting.
One Against One Dribbles
Young soccer players will love this one; it’s truly a fun drill. Even small children are naturally competitive when it comes to sports and with a One against One dribbling drill, you can satisfy that urge as they learn. What they compete for is up to you, maybe a treat or a small toy. You could count a score in several ways. For example, every time the attacking player manages to dribble the defender, they get a point. However, the defender gets the point if he manages to stop the dribble. If you think of other ways to get points, let us know in the comments, we would love to hear your ideas.
